Seminar (Secure) Communication Networks
The seminar discusses communication protocols and security aspects of communication protocols.
No previous knowledge is required for the course. The course is suited for bachelor and master
students. But master students may get topics for runaways.
The course language is English. Bachelor students may give their talk in German.
The talks will be in June or as a block seminar in September.
In the scope of this seminar, an introduction in presentation technique is provided. This will
take place at two time slots after the kick-off lecture, and cover general rhetorical, design
and preparation guidelines.

Course materials
Requirements
The grade is composed as following:

10 % presentation draft
-
30% successful presentation
-
30 % presentation content
-
30% documentation (double-sided printed)
The presentation draft should be delivered 2 weeks before the presentation and an appointment should
be made for discussion. A handout for the presentation is necessary: max. 1 DIN A4 page which
summarizes the main content of the presentation.
Successful presentation: max. 45 min. + 15 min. Discussion.
The documentation should be delivered within 1 week after the presentation.
Topics
The concrete topics will be presented in the Kick-Off lecture (slidecast). Afterwards, the student
can select their topic for the seminar.
